Drill Pipe Inspection Console
The newly designed PITCO Digi-Tech DP10 Drill Pipe Inspection Console is a fully computerized, second generation buggy type inspection system for OCTG drill pipe from 2 3/8" through 6 5/8". The Digi-Tech DP1O has entirely new software, written from the ground up for this next generation drill pipe inspection system. The coding and user interface were written by the same developers that have brought our four-function inspection systems to new heights, both in the user interface and capabilities. The 17" flat panel LCD display provides a bright, high-resolution screen that will provide a clear presentation of the charts to your operators. The Sorensen Current Regulated Power Supply that supplies the magnetization for the transverse and wall inspection will keep the signals stable without current drift. All data and charts are saved in a database for future reporting and tracking of the pipe that has come under inspection. Calibration settings are also saved and can be used on future jobs to reduce the calibration time needed
Capacitor Discharge Units (CD Box)
PITCO 10K+CD is a high-capacity 10,000 Amp capacitive discharge unit. The unit has 3.84 Farads of capacitance and operates at 70 Volts DC. The CD unit measures 36" x 14" and is easily transportable by (2) people. The unit has (2) digital meters for monitoring of charge voltage and peak shot current (with peak hold meter). The unit has a (30') remote firing control. In real-world testing, single shot current in 7 5/8" 39# P-110 casing was 11,500 amps at 29.8 milliseconds. The unit accepts up to (4) positive & (4) negative 4/0 shooting cables. All cable connectors are high current cam-lok type for safety and long life. CD Unit has a HI/LO Switch to change between 1OK & 6K output.
PITCO Coils are designed to magnetize or demagnetize OCTG materials. PITCO Coils will magnatize or reduce the residual longitudinal field to meet or exceed API specifications.
All coils are level wound for proper distribution of magnetic field. All coils are manufactured with heavy formvar insulated aluminum magnet wire. Coils are wound on aluminum frame with epoxy coating for long life and safe operation. Coils are designed to work in conjunction with Pitco Magnetizing, Demagnetizing Power Supplies. Coils are designed to operate 24/7 in oilfield environment.

Air Actuated Inspection Heads

We offer air actuated inspection heads for both our PITCO equipment as well as many designed to fit older equipment that is still in operation. All air actuated inspection heads are manufactured in house, with top quality components and a well trained staff of assembly technicians.
Each air actuated inspection head consists of overlapping detector assemblies that encircle the pipe to insure greater than 100% coverage.

Pitco Rodrunner is a semi automated transport system for shooting rods. The system consists of a drive assembly, control station and a catcher assembly.
The drive system consists of the mechanical friction drive with (2) wheels a pneumatic drive wheel and
a(l 0") urethane guide wheel. System is powered by a (2) horsepower DC Electric motor a (5:1) gearbox and a solid state motor controller with adjustable forward and reverse speeds and a built-in braking system.
The drive system has adjustable tensioners for positive drive. The motor controller is connected with a limit switch on catcher end to stop the rod in the correct position and close the contactors. Height of the system is adjustable from (32" to 42")
Contactors are (1") brass, radiused to the rod size, (1.25" or 1.5"). System is isolated with delrin insulators. Each clamp assembly has (3") twin shaft air cylinders for positive contact. UHMW is used for guide wear surfaces.

The Digi-Tech Stencil unit was designed specifically for OCTG and Line Pipe applications in mind. The Digi-Tech Stencil system can interface with your PITCO MFL inspection systems to print directly from the inspection job as it runs. The Digi-Tech Stencil can be configured to print the job number, joint number, customer information and can be customized to print other data from the inspection job.
For applications outside the inspection building, or those customers with inspection systems not manufactured by Scan Systems Corporation, we have developed a user friendly software application to create and transmit the printed message. Designed with Blue Tooth capabilities, the operator can generate and send the messages from a laptop to the print head through wireless communication.
Pitco Dual Demag is designed to demagnetize OCTG's with a Longitudinal Mag Field to at or below API Specifications.
The demag unit consists of two individually adjustable DC power supplies. The power supplies are filtered to provide smooth DC output to a demagnetizing coil. A firing circuit provides switching between the two power supplies. Switching is accomplished by a sensor or timer to switch from power supply (1) to power supply (2) at or near the middle of the joint. This provides the current level change to complete the demagnetization. When joint clears sensor the system switches back to power supply (1) to start demagnetization process on next joint. System works best with a stable longitudinal field in the part to be demagnetized.
Pitco Mag/Demag System is designed to magnetize OCTG material to the proper level, then demagnetize the same material in one operation.
Mag/Demag system has (2) two adjustable DC power supplies, one for magnetizing and one for demagnetizing. Current levels are set on each output for proper operation. The system will reduce the field to at or below API Spec's. Demag has a push button control to fire the mag circuit and a button to fire the demag circuit.
Single Mag Power Supply
PITCO MAG II is a Rectified DC Power Supply used to provide DC power to a magnetizing coil. The power is full wave rectified with filtering to provide smooth DC power for penetration to the internal surface of the material being inspected. When used with Pitco coils the unit is capable of (440)free air gauss at the center of the coil.
Output current (0-1O) Amps is adjustable by a variable transformer, output is either constant on, or is controllable by a momentary firing button. The unit has a polarity switch for changing polarity of coil. Output current readings are displayed on a digital meter. Included with the Pitco Mag is a (15') AC Power cable and a (15') coil cable. All components and cables are grounded to chassis for safety.
